I try to follow this tutorial. The program is Farm Helper v 1.7. I am stuck at the point where I should find text in W32Dasm (2:20), which is displayed when a wrong license key is entered. I should find “Invalid License!”. I can’t find this or any text, which I can see when I use the program. In W32Dasm I can see lines similar to this:
* Possible Reference to String Resource ID=00112: “#%&#&%%”
There are always unreadable symbols between the quotes.
What do I do wrong?

you could have done it faster using IDA or ollydbg, or just editing registry
90 is the opcode for nop
search demonoid for the crack

One small comment on the sharing violation.. How about closing the app instead of having to screw with your backup..
You still had the app running in the background so OF COURSE it’s in use……

It freakin worked… My god, I did something really clever without knowing exactly what I was doing!
Beats my method of doing it… Opening up the file in a hex editor and NOP-ing random things until I get the result I want xD
Now just gotta read a few more tutorials on this to figure out the multiple methods. And thanks for this HIEW program, I’ve been looking for a program that can view function addresses so I can figure out how to run them externally

Basically, when you find your line, you go to the very end of it by pressing F3 until the last 2 numbers are selected, then type 90.
Then, you press the UP arrow key, bringing you back to the start of that line. Now keep typing 90 until you see the other yellow 90 further down the box.
You should then have 6 90′s in a column
where do you insert the 90 after the first 90 you input & where do you stop inserting 90s.
